The KICS student body has grown consistently from a handful of students to 315 students today. This growth rate is indicative of the demand for quality education in the city of Kigali. KICS serves students as young as five-years in the Pre-Kites program before they transition into Primary school and eventually Secondary school.
In the primary section of the school, all grades have morning devotionals, Bible instruction four-five days a week, and weekly primary chapel time. Secondary students have a morning mission time when they meet either in small groups (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or as the whole secondary (Monday and Friday). Mission time includes chapel, small group conversations around spiritual topics and passages from the Bible, grade-level topics, and advisory oriented topics.
KICS also offers a variety of extracurricular opportunities for students. Primary students can participate in athletics such as soccer, swimming, basketball, taekwondo, and traditional dance, or other clubs such as “Science Club” and “Bible Club.” Secondary students may participate in Model UN, worship band, theater productions, student council, soccer, basketball, badminton, and other student-led clubs.
