Welcome to Pre-Kites,

Kigali International Community School (KICS) has this year at Pre-Kites, opened up opportunities for three-year-olds to join our KICS family. The value of having three- and four-year-olds together creates a learning environment that allows the four-year-olds to model to the younger children and the younger ones to mimic the older children.

As your child embarks on their first Learning experience, we are excited to offer them an inquiry-based learning opportunity that allows each child to grow and develop at their own pace, according to their individual needs. Every child will be observed, by one of our trained Early Childhood Educators and will create their own journal of learning experiences, based on their own investigative play each day. The children will be encouraged to contribute to their learning portfolios as they learn to evaluate and reflect on their day.

At Pre-Kites we value the opportunities that our outdoor place space can offer, allowing the children to explore, investigate, hypothesize, and create while manipulating materials of open-ended experiences. We empower the children to foster their own learning through connecting with people, a variety of materials, and technology to enhance their investigations.

Our hope is that every child and family who enters Pre-Kites will experience a sense of belonging, in a loving and safe environment, which has been developed around our Christian based Vision, Mission, and Values.

We so look forward to being part of your Child’s Early Years of Learning and value the opportunity of sharing it with them and their family.
